I booked a surprise engagement photo shoot with Gabriele and it was nothing short of amazing. From the very beginning, he was fantastic with communicating every little detail and talking me through all of my options. The weather forecast was very uncertain and he was staying in constant contact to pick the perfect time up until the morning of the proposal. My fiancé and I felt so comfortable throughout the entire session and could not have dreamed up a more special day. We received our photos the day before Christmas and they were absolutely amazing. SUNRISE ENGAGEMENT PHOTO SHOOT
We booked our engagement photos with Gabriele while we were going to be in Florence in May. It was the best decision we made! Gabriele is very responsive and easy to communicate with. The day we were scheduled to have our shoot was projected to rain. He was on it to make sure we would get the photos we dreamed of. We were supposed to have sunset photos in the city but ended up doing sunrise photos. We are SO glad we switched to sunrise!!! There was barely anyone in sight and that made our experience and photos that much better we believe. We were able to enjoy all the views and architecture without weaving through the crowds of people. This is more than having photos taken, it is truly an experience. Having our engagement photos done with him was the highlight of our Europe trip! After a very long search for wedding photographers for our destination wedding in Florence - Italy. We stumbled upon Gabriele's website. I could definitely tell how professional he is from his immediate answering to emails, questions and concerns we had. After communicating and after showing us a sample of his work. We were totally hooked! His photos were just gorgeous! We just could feel every expression of joy in each of the pictures! Gabriele offered to meet up for a chat and coffee with me (the groom) while I was visiting Florence. He was extremely friendly, professional and definitely talented! Because I felt comfortable, we also added a pre wedding photoshoot . It was the first time we perform any kind of photoshoot. Not only he made us at ease , he always let us be in our natural self.That really showed on the pictures! He made it really fun! :) On the wedding day, he captured all the moments we needed and definitely does whatever it takes to get his shots! Poor him he almost tripped on the stairs a couple of times, trying to get his shots ! 🙈We hardly felt his presence flashing his camera in our faces or stalking us. He always knew when and how to capture his shots. He is totally not the photographer that would stress you out to stage photos or to pose certain ways. He just waits for the right moment, and all u hear is the clicks of his beautiful camera :) When the photos arrived. We were in disbelief! The photos were just cut out of a magazine ! The quality of the images were superb! Everyone that saw the pictures were astonished on how he captured those moments and expressions! Me and my wife are still having difficulty to post and share which pictures on social media because there was not one single bad picture! If you are having a wedding in Italy, or any beautiful occasion that you want to have it documented with a photoshoot. ENGAGEMENT PHOTO SHOOT
Gabriele is an amazing photographer, and really made our engagement photoshoot an incredible experience. We went for a 2-hour session covering some panoramic shots of the city from Abbazia di San Miniato al Monte, and a jaunt through the city itself from the Ponte Vecchio, to the Uffizi Gallery, and then through the Piazza Signoria. Gabriele is a pleasure to work with. Throughout our time with him, he made us feel very comfortable and relaxed. He chose some amazing and beautiful locations - and even though they were very busy, he was somehow able to shoot around the crowds, making us feel like we were in our own little world. He’s also a great teacher - he asked us at the start of the session if we would like him to direct us a bit, and help us with our poses and positions. Definitely take him up on this offer, like we did! You will learn so much about light, angles, and body position - and the results were spectacular! Gabriele’s advice has even helped us when we’re taking our own photos. Even before our experience with him, Gabriele communicated with us well. He talked us through potential shooting locations, how many places / photos we could fit in in our given time frame, when we could expect our photographs, and the payment process. We would say though, to be prepared to walk, and fast! We were warned beforehand to bring a change of shoes to walk between shooting locations, but we never actually got a chance to use them, instead just walking between places in our shooting-shoes. It would have been nice to have been told that this would likely be the situation, to avoid having to lug our shoes around, but we were able to hit a number of places and get a lot of shots in, so it was worth the sacrifice! Most importantly, though, the photos we received are unbelievable! We asked Gabriele for a more colourful shoot - which can be a little difficult in Florence, judging by some of the photoshoots we saw during our research - and he certainly delivered. They are truly spectacular. The editing is on point, the quality is amazing, and each photo has its own personality. Overall, we had a magical experience, and I would not hesitate to have another photoshoot with Gabriele!

FAMILY REUNION PHOTO SESSION
Our family went on a very special holiday to Tuscany. There were 7 of us. My husband and myself, my 3 adult children, my one son's fiancé and our one and only precious granddaughter who was 14 months old. One of the most important events that we planned was to have a Family Photo Session since this was the first time we were all together and it might be quite a while before it happened again. Living in the U.S. it was quite a leap of faith to choose a photographer over the internet. I spent a lot of time doing research and I kept coming back to Gabriele's website. I started e-mailing him and started feeling that he was definitely the photographer my family was going to feel very comfortable with and would do a fabulous job. He always answered me so promptly and thoroughly and explained everything about his process. He was so helpful I really felt I knew what to expect. Well - when we got to Tuscany - and he arrived at our villa for the photo shoot I knew I had "hit a home run" -"scored the winning goal" in my choice. Gabriele was so charming, so enchanting, & so engaging. Everyone in the family had an instant connection with him. That makes it so much easier to have a natural relaxed photo session. Everything about Gabriele was truly fabulous, fantastic, fun, and beyond our expectations (& we had high expectations!!!) The photo shoot with Gabriele was the highlight of our trip! My fiancé and I went on this trip to celebrate our engagement and I knew I wanted to take photos in Florence. I had previously lived in Florence through college so I was very familiar with the city and knew exactly where I wanted to take pictures. After finding Gabriele online and reading the rave reviews we booked our session. He was very helpful answering my questions and making sure I was able to get the photo route I wanted. The day of the shoot we were very nervous but Gabriele made us feel very comfortable. We had the best time and it felt like the two hour shoot flew by! It was so romantic. We planned a trip to Florence and wanted to get our engagement pictures done there. We found Gabriele online and really liked his style and artwork. We contacted him and from the start, he was very professional. He replied to all of our emails in a timely manner and answered all of our questions including which colour clothing to wear for the photo locations. Everything was planned via email as are not from the area. On the day of the photo shoot, everything went better than planned. We chose to do the photo shoot in the early morning based on his advice and it was amazing as there was no one around. He knew where all the perfect photo spots were and all the angles to capture the moment with the natural lighting. In addition, he gave us helpful pointers throughout the photo shoot. SURPRISE PROPOSAL PHOTO SHOOT
My girlfriend and I (now fiancé!) had a trip planned to multiple cities in Italy and I knew that it was the right time for me to pop the question. I started researching photographers in Florence using Google and I came upon a few different photographers. I ended up looking contacting each one and looked at their portfolios. In the end, I really loved Gabriele's work and he was very communicative and responsive from the start so I ended up going with him. I couldn't be any happier! Leading up to the proposal, he was very communicative on Whatsapp and very flexible with arrangements. We ended up selecting San Miniato al Monte as the location and he was very descriptive about the time and exact location where the proposal would take place, while he would be waiting in the distance with a long lens to capture the moment. Afterwards, we finally met and he was super nice and pleasant to be around. We then continued the photoshoot for an hour where he took us around the surrounding area to capture more beautiful moments. He would provide some direction but not so much that it was over bearing. It was a very natural and artistic way of shooting to capture those reals moments in life on film that will bring joy for a lifetime. The deliverables were also provided in a timely manner as he had stated after the shoot and wow, the final pictures ended up looking amazing! It's hard for words to describe but they were absolutely fantastic! Upon seeing them for the first time, my fiancé and I relived that moment and it brought tears to our eyes. If you're looking for a photographer in the Florence area, I would highly recommend, Gabriele. Hands down, without a doubt!

We had the most wonderful experience with Gabriele from our 'wedding for two' in September, 2018. You could tell he truly cares and loves what he does. Gabriele made us both feel very comfortable even though we had never had professional photos before. The best money I spent in Italy! We hired Gabriele Fani to do an engagement session with us during our time in Florence, while we were on vacation. He came highly recommended as I researched local photographers, and was very responsive and helpful as we scheduled the session via email.
I was very nervous, as we were meeting him for the first time. We don't speak Italian, and I hate having my picture taken. He was very warm and down to earth, made us feel comfortable, spent over three hours with us, and somehow captured the most beautiful photos of us- people who are not that photogenic! By the end of the session we were trying to convince him to come to America to photograph our wedding! I really can not say enough wonderful things about him.
