Rippling and sumptuous Tuscany wedding in the elegant Castle of Valenzano

Getting married in a castle is one of the most common dreams for the soon-to-be husbands and wives. Who wouldn’t want to feel like a Prince or Princess for a day, after all? That’s probably what Ilyssa and Alex thought when they started planning their Tuscany wedding, that took place between the picturesque center of Arezzo and the impressive Castle of Valenzano.

Ilyssa and Alex are a smiling couple from Miami that perfectly embodies all of the energy of their Cuban origins. I could see it from the very beginning, during the welcome dinner they had with all of their guests upon their arrival to Arezzo, the day before the celebration.

A colorful bunch of lively people turned Piazza Grande into a big dinner table and then party scene, with dances, laughters and a quick photo shooting – of the whole group and of the couple. It was definitely a great way to get to know the future spouses and all of their guests right before the upcoming Tuscany wedding.

When the time came, we were all ready for it: an elegant and opulent celebration as a promise of eternal love.

The timeless charm of the Castle of Valenzano

The bride and groom got ready for their big day in the rooms of the Castle, which really seems to come from a different era. Ilyssa was extremely beautiful in her richly decorated dress and her dad’s tears testified it. I couldn’t help shooting photos of her under the arches of the Castle’s hallway: she really looked like a princess.

After a short Rolls Royce ride, she reached Alex at the Cathedral of Arezzo, where the ceremony took place. It was emotional and joyful, and we decided to give the finishing touch through a picture of the whole group on the steps in front of the church.

A few couple portraits in Arezzo and surroundings led us back to the Castle of Valenzano, where everything was ready for a flavorful dinner and a heartfelt celebration. There were moving speeches and fun ones, crazy dances and tender ones: the Tuscany wedding of Ilyssa and Alex is surely a day to remember, for them and all of their families!
