A family composed of different generations, enjoying a holiday together in the countryside of Tuscany. A daughter that wants to surprise her parents with a unique gift. A wonderful landscape that would leave anyone breathless. A few hours of quality time, spent enjoying each other’s company and nothing else. These are the ingredients of the family reunion pictures you’re about to see and get inspired by.
Merit and her family’s reunion pictures
Earlier this year I was contacted by Merit, a German woman planning a family reunion in Tuscany with her extended clan. In particular, her parents were going to be there together with their adult children and baby granddaughter. It was not just the average holiday, and it deserved to be celebrated properly. This is the reason why she decided to gift them with a photo session to shoot some unforgettable family reunion pictures: mission accomplished, as you can see from the gallery below.
We first met in Peccioli, in Tuscany, choosing it because it was conveniently close to their accommodation – and also because of its charm. It’s a medieval hamlet, nestled among the hills around Pisa, and its unique characteristic is the combination between its historic heart and the masterpieces of modern art that popped up in these last years. We broke the ice strolling around the alleys of the town, where all of the family members turned out to be willing to follow my suggestions during the shooting. And we couldn’t help but take some family reunion pictures on one of the most famous attractions of Peccioli: the modern terrace overlooking the breathtaking rolling hills.
Never-ending memories of Tuscany
After that first part of the shooting in the village, the fun continued in the Tuscany countryside. Just imagine its iconic landscapes, still covered in green cultivated fields and picture-perfect vineyards. Then add the incredible golden hour light on a sunny day, mix it with six smiling adults and one extremely cheerful baby girl, and sprinkle everything with some love and happiness. The result is the family reunion pictures that you can see in the gallery: a one-of-a-kind memory of a special time that this family shared and that they will be able to cherish forever.
